Hello!

Hi! I am Jess, a 22 year old designer based in Columbus Ohio. Currently I am entering my senior year studying Visual Communication Design at The Ohio State University. The program I am in is highly competitive from the start, accepting a limited number of freshmen each year and less than 20 individuals per design specialty after the first year. I began my journey into the design world after taking a gap year to work and explore what major I truly wanted to pursue.

 

I am someone who has loved the arts for as long as I can remember be that playing instruments, writing music, engaging in studio art, theater or photography. My love of creativity is second only to my passion for people. Design has been a natural marriage of my primary values and interests as I get to cultivate creative ideas for the purpose of positive user experiences. I have fallen in love with everything design has to offer be that data visualization, UI/UX, branding,  experiential design, design centered research or anything else I have the privilege of working on.

Something I bring to the table is a sense of empathy both in my work and interactions with people, be that clients, users, or my collaborative team. I am eager to receive and apply constructive feedback so I can push myself and my design work, and I am deeply passionate about beauty, logic, and problem solving.
